However, there are plenty of other roadworks if you come off the M1 and head for the airport. These are also contributing to the general misery on the roads around Luton in the mornings. They are resurfacing which means one lane is closed and there are mini traffic-lights in place. I've managed to get my journey to work down from 1 hour to about 30 minutes by finding a little short-cut.
